Question How do I reset GPU drivers if my CPU doesn’t have integrated graphics ? Question Graphic driver keep crashing after install and reinstall Question I have black screen every downloading graphic drivers, even the old one Question HELP! After updating gpu drivers, i get a black screen even in safe mode So what do I make of all this? How do I prevent my games from crashing? I can elaborate on other measures I have taken, if wanted. Should I try a driver from ASUS (my card maker) instead? I was advised to always use AMD or the chip manufacturer's drivers. Continuing on, I see on the 3DMark site that the "hotfix" can cause this. I then ran up 3DMark Sky Diver test and got a "Graphics driver is not approved" message after it was completed. I downloaded the newest AMD driver, 16.5.1 Hotfix, released on May 5th, 2016. So, I will get a message that says, "display driver has stopped responding and recovered."

Honestly, I can not figure out how to open Minidumps in MS VS, even though I am sure I have installed the kits for it, so i'm not going to try for a while. Anyway here is my information of 3DMark below. I decided to run 3DMark TimeSpy to see if everything is good or not. 7) Unisntalling and reinstalling Premiere also not solving anything. Earlier this evening I installed the latest version of AMD Adrenalin Edition 18.9.2 for my graphic card, MSI AMD R9 380 4 GB twin frozr and everything is good after the install. Sometimes I'm asked if I want to debug and sometimes not. The rep mentioned that my GPU wasnt processing frames fast enough, which could be. The problem, first off, is that while playing a game (both in and out of steam), the game will crash. Skill ripjaws, Samsung 840 Evo, 3TB HDD, Azza Dynamo 850w PSU, Windows 10, all clocks are stock. My specs are: AMD FX-8350, Asus R9 280, Asus 99fx pro R2.0 MB, 8gb G. Everything from my PSU voltages, my RAM clock speeds and bench/stress scores.

It was only those of us who tried to do an upgrade from 15.x to 16 who had issues with outdated VMware Tools remaining after the upgrade. So I have been collecting different numbers and bits of data all morning. I haven't had a chance to test this, however as I already said co-workers who uninstalled VMware Workstation 15.x and did a fresh install of VMware Workstation 16 had the latest version of VMware Tools.

If uninstall WS16.0 and install it again, did it fix your issue? I also use bridged networking rather than NAT.Ĥ. I have the Customer Experience Improvement Program disabled, I have the virtual printers disabled, and I have VM's saved in an alternate location (a folder on a secondary hard drive). Any special settings in your WS installation? I manually downloaded the installer from the VMware website, I manually downloaded and installed the latest version of the Visual C++ redist for Visual Studio 2015, 20, and then after a reboot I installed VMware Workstation 16.ģ. What host/guest operating system are you running in Workstation? Now with a video driver that supports newer versions of DirectX, it would look something like the following screenshot (note that the driver in this example supports DirectX 12, and I won't expect to see that in VMware Workstation until it is formally announced).ġ.

As you can see in the following screenshot, the highest level of DirectX support for the driver is 10.1. To verify the version of DirectX that VMware Tools supported I opened dxdiag (the DirectX Diagnostic Tool) by executing it in the Run dialog, then switched to the "Display" tab and checked the Direct3D DDI and Feature Levels under "Drivers". Since it looks like a version of VMware Tools that includes DirectX 11 support wasn't included with the release of VMware Workstation 16, may I ask when we should expect an updated version of VMware Tools that includes Direct X 11 support? When I select in VMware Workstation preferences to "Download All Components Now" it tells me "All downloadable components are up to date", and when I select to check for software updates it tells me "There are no software updates available at this time."

I just upgraded from VMware Workstation 15.5 to 16, and there was no update to VMware Tools with it (it's still using version 11.0.6 build 15940789 which only supports up to DirectX 10.1).
